HW- Seventh Grade- March 23

Complete the tables about triangles that were handed out in class today.  Use the strips to help you solve some of the questions.

HW-Algebra- Monday March 23

Time to get back to work!

Solve the following on loose leaf paper.

#1
f(x) = 3x - 10          g(x) = (X^2) - 5   (x squared minus 5)

a.) f(3)      b.)  f(7)    c.)  f(f(3)

d.) g(2)       e.)  g(5)    f.)  g(g(2))

g.)   f(g(3))   h.)  f(f(g(4))

#2
d(x) = 4x - 3          h(x) = 15 - x

a.) d(5)      b.) d(9)    c.)  d(d(3)

d.) h(2)       e.)  h(8)    f.)  h(h(2))

g.)   d(h(3))   h.)  d(d(h(9))

i)  h(d(h(8)))

#3.)  Solve the following system of equations
     4X + 3Y = 35    and  3X + 5Y = 40

Challenge
Given f(x + 2) = 4f(x)  (4 times f(x)).  And f(0) = 10.

What is f(2)?  What is f(4)?  What is f(10)?

Hint--  plug in 0 for both f(x+2) and 4(f(x)) to get you started.  Remember that f(0) = 10.
